Today was the day. The much anticipated RangeRette Camp! Ever since Brooke went to Bengal Belle Camp over the summer, Brenna has been asking to go 'when she grows up'. They have to be 5 yrs to go to Bengal Belle Camp. Then RangeRette Camp came along and the age requirement was 3 years! Woo hoo! Brenna has been stoked about it ever since we first got word. This is another high school in our town that started up (as a new school) not too long ago. So the program is still establishing, but it didn't stop our girls from wanting to participate. This go round it was only a day camp (or half a day, rather...which actually works better for us!), they get a Tshirt, a snack, a craft, and two tickets to the football game the following Friday, where they will perform during the pregame. All for only $40!
So today was the day of the actual camp where they learned their dances and whatever. Brenna had so much fun! Brooke is an old pro and still fun to watch, but Brenna was soooo stinkin cute out there! Of course, she's not as coordinated and has trouble with some of the moves (esp the kicks), but she tried her darndest! And had fun doing it. :) Today at the end of the day they had a small little performance just for the parents. I got video of it (in case the day of the football game I don't have as good a view ;)....
What we learned? This camp is not as organized as the Bengal Belle Camp, but just as fun and lots cheaper. There weren't NEAR as many participants, which actually makes it kinda nice. The girls are just as friendly with the little ones and the kids feel super big out there. All in all.... a great experience! And especially for Brenna! :)
Here's some pics from Brooke's class/dance...
And from Brenna's...
And like I said, I got video's of their dances too today, just in case I don't get a good one at the football game....(and the first is actually when they were still practicing as we were coming in to watch the performance...we got there early ;)
