Spring is officially here when you start to see the people stopping along the highway, dressed in their Sunday best to crawl around on the ground and get pictures of their babies in the vibrantly colored flowers. I half-joke about this, because growing up in one of these towns that is known for the bluebonnets and the other wildflowers, I HATED this season. People slamming on the brakes in front of you because they just spotted the PERFECT patch of bluebonnets. Grrr...made me wanna scream! Tourists, travellers, etc.
But, now that I am a parent who likes to take corny pictures of my child, I'm sure those young-un's are growling at me as we stop alongside the highway to get the perfect picture. Haha! It's like the circle of life!
At least, growing up with this in my background, I have a few pre-determind 'favorite spots'. At least, we're not slamming on the brakes, blocking traffic or causing accidents.
Anyway, here's a couple of slideshows of our pictures from yesterday in our bluebonnet hunting adventure. Yes, there are two slideshows. I took an INSANE amount of pictures. So, I grouped them...the first slideshow is just wildflower pictures. The second group is just some random outdoor pictures taken at some local places. Enjoy!
