Florida trip - day 5, Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is one of our favorite parks at Disney...second only to probably Magic Kingdom.  Favorite ride/attractions is at Hollywood Studios.  And if you'd been to Disney, you know what it is - Toy Story Mania.  If you are going, Toy Story Mania is a must do (and you'll want to do it 2 or 3 times at least!).  So what I recommend is going straight to TSM, getting a Fast Pass and then waiting in line and doing the ride, saving your Fast Pass for later...for your second ride.  We did that, only stopping for a couple of Photo Pass photos...

And when we got to TSM, the Fast Pass return time was already at 8pm!!!  Park opened at 9am, we got there at 9am and made it back to TSM by 9:30 and Fast Passes were almost already 'sold out'.  Craziness.  So we got our Fast Pass and the line was already an hour and half wait.  We decided against doing the ride then and would utilize our Fast Passes later that night.  Instead, we went and saw Mike Wazowski and Sully from Monsters Inc.  So fun!  We didn't see them last time!

From there, we walked the backlot, looked around,

and made our way to the Muppets show.  The girls loved the Muppets last time so it was a must see.  Not as impressive this time, but it was still cute.

From there, we also saw Phineas and Ferb, who we passed up last time as the line was too long.  THis time, short line!

We were right next door to Pizza Planet (from Toy Story 3) so we piddled around a bit and ate an early lunch.  Then, while there, Brad and the girls did Star Wars.  The girls did not like.  A little scary I guess...  but Brad loved it.

We also did the Little Mermaid show (good)

and stopped for a few Photo Pass photos.

Brenna wanted to see Jake (from Jake and the NEverland Pirates...a Disney Jr show)...

And we went over and saw the next showing of Beauty and the Beast, the musical.  Such a GREAT show.  And another must see!

And we went to see Sorcerer Mickey!  My FAVORITE!  I love Fantasia, loved it as a kid, and still love it.  So he's my favorite.  Had to stop and see him.

Inside there was also Minnie Mouse, characters from the Incredibles, and Wreck it Ralph.  None of which were important to us at the time so we passed on those and went on down to have dinner quickly to get in to the next showing of Fantasmic.  After dinner, a gingerbread cupcake for dessert!

So Fantasmic is their night-time show about Mickey's dreams going array and a battle of good vs evil.  Its a cool show, and gets super crowded.  Its a little scary in the beginning but all turns out well in the end of course.  :)

After Fantasmic, it was time to go do our Toy Story Mania ride.  So, so so fun!  After talking with the cast members working the TSM ride, they told us they actually stay open later than the park.  So as long as we were in line by 8:30 (park closed at 8), we could still ride.  So we left and went and saw the Osborne Family's Spectacle of Dancing Lights first.  Wow!  Talk about a LOT of lights.  It was amazing to see.  And every so often the lights 'danced' to the music playing, it snowed, and everyone stopped to watch.

We also got a Photo Pass photo there...

Some video of the dancing lights

Before going back to Toy Story Mania to ride one more time.  Again, so so fun.  I think Brad would install that ride in our house if he could.  :P

By the time we got out of TSM, the park was closed closed and closed.  Seriously, it was soo dead and quiet, it was almost eerie.  Even the gift shops!  I was a little disappointed to miss out on gift shop shopping, especially because we collect the pressed pennies and we were unable to get them from Hollywood Studios, Epcot or Magic Kingdom as we kept putting it off till it was too late.  :(  Oh well.  We had fun and made memories, that's all that matters!

(Brenna crashed at our resort, sleeping w her new Anna doll...so cute!)
