SURPRISE!!!! We're going to Disneyworld!!!

This surprise has been under wraps for some time.  Our code word  was Yum Yum's (named after a not so yummy place to eat we had in town a while back).  LOL

But this has been planned since last Spring!  Brenna asks literally every.  single.  day.  to go back to DisneyWorld.  I always wanted to go back during the Christmas holidays, see it all decorated.  And I knew before long Brooke would be out of the 'magic' of Disneyworld age.  So let's do it!  We are again using Brad's mom's timeshare so we are staying for free!  And have been planning the rest all Spring and Summer.

We kept it a HUGE secret from the girls.  However, we would be taking them out of school for a week so we needed to tell them a couple weeks before at least.  I did think about just waking them up morning of and saying 'let's go'  but I wanted them to have time to process it, get excited about it, tell their friends about it, and be motivated to not just miss school for no reason (attendance is kind of a big deal at our school this year).  But we told EVERYONE ahead of time - grandparents, teachers, other parents, and eventually the principal (though I made Brad do that one...I was nervous a bout telling her!  Did I mention attendance is kind of a big deal this year? Yikes.  But she was totally fine with it...its an experience of a lifetime after all).

So we waited till a few weeks before, yet after Halloween and I created this video to show them... (make sure volume is up, it's a little quiet at times)





Then we showed it to them just one weekend when we were both off and available.  This was them watching it (a huge production out of Brooke reading it to Brenna was made...ugh.  but then in the end, Brenna wasn't' even really paying attention to what Brooke was saying.  Silly)  It didn't REALLY sink it till after the video stopped running that yes, we really were going to DisneyWorld.  However, you can hear Brenna say, "that's just like your car!" and, "that's Johnson!" (their school)  "Why's our picture up there?" And if you pay close attention, you can see Brooke (the ever calm cool and collected one) get a tiny smile creep when she 'gets it'.  And she keeps glancing at Daddy, like...'for real?'



So we have now, just over a week left to go!  They are soooo excited now and we can't wait!!!  Later, after the video finished and it really started to sink in, Brenna could not contain herself!  We shoulda had the video going then!  She ran around the room all night, with looks like this on her face:

Our only problem is getting everything done before we go is getting stressful (i.e. - photoshoots, finishing up remodeling, editing pictures for me, packing, doing school work ahead of time, etc).  It will be so worth it when we get there, but life right now is pretty hectic needless to say.  LOL
