Trick or Treating

Sorry, I am such a slacker blogger and am so behind lately! So many photoshoots, so many pictures, so much editing, so little time. And the blog suffers. But I am insistent to get this post up before Thanksgiving so here we go!

Our "Halloween" started the Sunday before, where we got the girls dressed up (see their costumes in previous post) and went first to the George Bush Library for their annual Trick or Treating. You walk through the museum and get candy, they have games and food and drinks. The line is horrendously long and tends to scare people off, but it is really fast moving (much faster than a line at DisneyWorld) and there are lots of cool things there! The girls had fun.

Next we went to a local church's Truck or Treat that is always a lot of fun. We are so thankful to always know of this church's event b/c they have TONS of stuff, not a lot of people, and the kids have a lot of fun there!

Before going home, we went by the girls' old teachers house b/c she wanted to be sure to see them all dressed up. And they posed for a picture with Ms Lydia's dog, Abby. :)

Then on Halloween day, Brenna's school had their Halloween carnival. Lots of fun food and snacks, games, activities, relays...the museum person was there with all her critters and animals and things. And I was there taking pictures of the kiddos. I think Brenna liked holding the snake most. ;)

And look, matching cats! :)

Then that night, we were more cramped for time, as it was a school night, and Brooke had piano lessons. So right after piano, we did some door to door Trick or Treating. Brooke was begging to do this this year and had fun, but I was getting very annoyed at the big kids running us over and trampling us and even the parents being mean to my poor "little" kids. It was quite aggravating. So we just went up and down one street, then called it quits with that.

From there, we headed over to our other favorite place to go for Halloween - another local church that always does a fantastic job putting on their festival. We always always always have fun here and its so easy and not too crowded and fun. And hey... look, we found Jordyn there!

Also, the end of last week, we FINALLY got around to carving our pumpkin! Brooke was VERY gung ho this year to de-gut the pumpkin. Brenna, not so much. But she had fun watching. ;)

Here's a fun little video of Brenna singing her new 'song'. About pumpkin guts. Yea... nice. Girls can be yucky too. ;)

So all in all a fun couple of nights out getting waaaaay too much candy that they'll never eat. But they had a great time! As we get in the car to go home Halloween night, Brenna sighed heavily and said, "Welll....now its Christmas time!" LOL!! :)
