Pajama Day/Family Reading Night

Today was pajama day at Brenna's school. They got to wear their PJ's, bring a small pillow and a stuffed friend to cuddle with...as they were going to read "If You Give a Pig a Pancake.." and make pancakes and waffles. So fun!

And then the other day at school, they made these edible windmills. I thought they were sooo cute! And the spokes really even turn! (they are on a dowel)

Last night we also got to go to Brooke's school for Family Reading Night, which coincides with their week long Book Fair. First, everyone goes into the gym and watches the 'main attraction', Julian Franklin, read/perform a show...complete with puppets and magic tricks, etc. The kids LOVE it.

Then, the kids were divided up to go to their assigned rooms to listen to a local 'celebrity' read a chosen story. The kids got to pick out who they wanted to see ahead of time and Brooke chose to go to the lady who was with Aggieland Pets with a Purpose. I think she just wanted the chance to visit with the animals, which was fun...

And in other random news, Brad's friend Terry came down to visit and brought the girls this to play with...

Not only is it a Darth Vador mask...its one that has the attached voice changer that makes their voices sound like Darth Vador and has some pre-recorded messages too, straight from Darth. :P It took a bit, but the girls are loving playing with it now. At first it was kinda scary!! LOL

Now, in between photoshoots...this weekend will be spend getting Christmas decorations up. Well, I should say we will START putting them up. This is how much we have...(and why we should've started last week!)...
