My two little mini-Rangerettes did great at the football game this past Friday!
We got there and had their hair up and their tiny bit of makeup on and ready, they got their new shirts to change into and were raring to go!
I was a wee bit nervous about leaving our tiniest Rangerette in their complete custody crossing the street to the football stadium and her having to be responsible to follow her class, that sorta thing (she tends to dawdle and gets left behind ;), so Brad hung back low and watched, from a distance, them warm up, practice and go over to the football stadium.
Meanwhile, I went over and got us seats for the game. Soon enough they came over, pregame started and they did their little dances. Sooo freakin cute! And Brenna really was the tiniest one I think! But she loved it. :) Also, no real good video. I figured. That's why I posted the video of their practice from last week. That field is soooo far and they are sooo tiny out there. The only reason you can make out the pictures as good as you can is because of my telephoto lens! I actually spent most of my time watching through my zoom! LOL And our camera with video on it doesn't zoom as well when its so far. So we just have pictures. ;)
Brooke's dance was next and I was amazed at how well she knew the dance. She did great! And looked like a pro!
Then they lined up for the victory line (is that what its called I think?)...for when the team runs through. Again, they did fabulous with all that - singing the song and cheering on the football team, standing patiently and participating in the singing of the Nat'l Anthem (they had to turn and face the flag, hand over the heart). All of it.
After pregame, we were told to come to the end zone to collect our kids, so we snapped a few pictures there...
Then we decided to stay at least till half time to watch some of the game (boy, Brooke was FULL of football questions...she was learning the game!), and then the halftime shows. We ate 'dinner' there too and just had a good Friday night fun time.
All in all it was fun for the girls! I'm so glad Brenna finally got the chance to participate in something of this magnitude...as much as she likes to watch Brooke do it, she feels especially big when SHE gets to do it. And Brooke had fun too and is trying to decide now if she'd rather be in drill team, cheerleading, flags, or band when she grows up. ;)
