Happy Easter!

Today is Easter! What a blessed day! We feel especially connected to the Easter holiday, not only for the real reason for the season, but also because three years ago, our first daughter was born on Easter Sunday. What a glorious day!

We started off our day building a 'nest' in the backyard for Brooke's Easter basket - an empty basket. Then we headed out the door for Sunday School. Following Sunday School, our church had a age-divided Easter egg hunt. Brooke's not going to win any races for the fastest egg hunter, but she got her fair share of eggs to open and discover what was inside.
Then after the egg hunt (which probably lasted all of 3 minutes - LOL), we went to church. Afterwards, we rushed home to discover the Easter bunny had JUST been to our house and had filled Brooke's basket with goodies and hidden eggs all over the front and backyard! Imagine our surprise! So, Brooke had a short time to find all the eggs, open some of them, and pull out all her goodies that were stashed in her basket.

We then took some pictures (couldn't miss the oppportunity right?) in her beautiful Easter outfit and headed out the door again for lunch at the Country Club with Brad's family. Lunch was fabulous (thanks Muna!), but the company was better.

Now, since there are getting to be more kids in the family, we found out that the Easter bunny had also been to Meridon's house (Brad's aunt), so Brooke got to go help Chad and Ali and Cami find all the eggs at her house too! Man...this girl is going to have a serious stash to go through!
We got to spend a little bit more time over there with family before leaving to come home so Brooke would get some sort of nap today.

The weather is beautiful today (I thought it was supposed to be cold and rainy?) and it is a glorious Easter day! We are so blessed and fortunate in our family to have the love of God, as well as great friends and family to share this life with. Truly honored....
And finally, here's some more pics from our day collected in a slideshow.
Happy Easter everyone!
